Course Description

The main objective of this course is not to force students to learn a lot of information and knowledge, but to give them the intellectual tools and a sufficient background to analyze by themselves and decipher the course of events in the Middle East. They will have to participate actively, to do some works and to make a brief synthesis of the news of the week in the Middle East. My teaching will not be theoretical, but based on my practical experience and knowledge of the Middle East. I will teach them an original method to analyze any geopolitical crisis. Not only in the Middle East, but worldwide… I will not advocate any cause in the region. I will do my best to analyze as much objectively as possible the situation resulting from field's reality. The master words will be OBJECTIVITY & REALISM

RAZOUX, Pierre (Research Director in charge of regional and strategic security studies)

Course validation

I will evaluate each student on his active participation, on several written works and on a test.
