Course Description

This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth introduction to competition law, with a particular emphasis on its basic notions and specific reasoning methods. Students will be encouraged to develop a critical assessment of competition policies both at the EU and national level. The course covers the main areas of competition law: anti-competitive agreements, abuses of a dominant position, merger control and State-aid law. There will be a strong emphasis on EU competition law, but French law will also be studied in detail.
