Course Description

This course is aimed at covering the basics of microeconomic theory, taking a very applied angle. The topics covered will include supply and demand, pricing, basic theory of regulation but will also introduce the basics of game theory. Part of the classes will use case studies of particular firms to improve the knowledge. The part on game theory will also use games played in class to help student understanding. At the end of the course the students will have been exposed to the most important tools of microeconomics for managers.

Lecturing + case studies.

Course validation

The evaluation of the course will be done based on both a final take home exam (40%), a group project (50%) and participation (10%).


12 seminars of two hours each (24 hours).
