The « Introduction to GIS » class has to be done in S1 “governance of large Metropolis” or GIS basics have to be known and use of QGIS software has to be acquired.

Course Description

Tutorial data covering an urban area will be provided and will be used for a specific thematic issue. The aim is to estimate the number of inhabitants living in a noise restriction zone due to aircrafts taking off and landing in Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport. Each student has to answer the subject in combining data in the GIS process and in producing maps and statistics to put forward results and interpretations.
