Course Description

Each class will consist of a case study of a country with a specific emphasis

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

The course aims at equipping students with the necessary analytical toolbox to carry out a country diagnosis (macroeconomics, country risks), run forecasts and scenarios, and issue policy recommendations. Through a dozen of countries and themes, students will be taken through a journey from advanced economies to emerging markets, from fiscal and monetary policy to structural adjustments.

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Ludovic is the Head of Macroeconomic Research at global insurer and asset manager Allianz, and the Chief Economist at Euler Hermes, the world leader in credit insurance.Before joining the financial sector, Ludovic worked for the French Ministry of Finance, the United Nations and the World Bank. Ludovic sits on the Advisory Board of EY (Ernst and Young), the French Public Investment Bank (BPI France Le Lab), the Monaco Economic Board, the Aspen Institute France, the think tank Rules for Growth, and the Women in Africa Initiative. Ludovic graduated from the cole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique and from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris.
