Course Description

The course covers the policy, financial and transactional aspects of infrastructure projects in various sectors (energy, renewable energy, water, transport, etc.), with a focus on financial structuring (including basic financial modeling), Public Private Partnerships and infrastructure funds. Case studies on national and international projects will be included. The course is well suited to future careers in banking, project finance, infrastructure funds, international development organizations, infrastructure companies or consulting firms.

Pedagogical format

The students will be expected to do a reasonable amount of preparatory reading of relevant papers and case studies, which will be distributed in advance or available online.

Course validation

The student will be assessed on the basis of (i) Active class participation (including group presentations) (25%) (ii) Final written examination in class (Multiple Choice and Mini-Case) (75%)

Workload

12 seminars of two hours each (24 hours). Credits: 4.
