Course Description

The aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of banking activities through the current major challenges related to the industry. Students will address tailored business cases covering various hot topics (e.g. international business development, diversification, ALM, investors and crisis communication digitalisation, European banking union, governance of complex banking groups…). They will have a week to elaborate in pairs their assessment. Young alumni professionals (banking analysts, consultants, regulators, managers and executives) will share their experience and present some key notions related to each topic addressed. Overall, the seminar is made to develop professional behaviours whilst contributing to students' personal reflection about future internships and career start in the financial industry. It is also an opportunity to network and gain knowledge on effective recruiting tips for successful applications. Teachers are all former members of “Inspections Générales” of French banking groups.
