Course Description

What happened recently that made Artificial Intelligence so powerful? Although the technology has been around for decades, it only became practical in the past few years. Since then, it has touched every aspect of society, from how people do business to how government should think about the country. As such, AI is not a industry vertical, but rather a horizontal technology with the power to transform everything, just like computers and the internet did before it. In this class, we will learn about the key aspects of AI, how they will impact businesses and how we can anticipating the massive shift that is about to happen. It is a non-technical class, rather focusing on the business, strategy, ethical and societal aspects of AI.

3 formats, depending on the session: - Lecture - Lecture + workshop - Lecture + guest seminar

Course validation

A group project anticipating how AI will transform a specific industry or aspect of society. The project should be doable within 5 years, and have a clear path to scalability. It can be inventing a new business that AI makes possible, transforming an existing industry, changing aspects of government, rethinking policies, art etc..
